Eco-Friendly, Ease-of-use elastomeric cementitious waterproofing coating.

SMART-550 is a 1-part, high performance cementitious acrylic elastomeric waterproof coating, which consists of mainly acrylic resin emulsion and powdered inorganic compounds. With the high viscosity, the proper thickness can be easily made.

Fullfills requirements of KS F 4919 (Cement-polymer modified waterproof coating)

Storage: Store in dry and well-ventilated area in original packaging at temperatures over +5℃. Protect from sunlight, frost, rain.

Shelf life: Written on the package. Damaged one should not be used.

Recommending Dosage: 1.0 ㎏/㎡ per 1 coat, Coat more than twice

1. Substrate preparation: Concrete, mortar and masonry surfaces must be clean, free from laitance, grease oil and loosely adhering particles. Make a surface smooth. If cracks exist on the surface, reinforce the cracks with Smart Sealant.

2. Apllication: Primer(0.3kg/m²) should be coated prior to the application of SMART-550 in 20 ~ 30 minutes after primer coating. Apply the 1^st coat of SMART-550, and leave the coat until it is hardened for about 12 hours at the temperature above 20℃. After then apply the 2^nd coat. If the 1^stcoat is dry well within 12 hours, the 2^nd coat might be applied under the approval of supervisor. While applying the 2^nd coat, the 1^st coat shouldn’t be damaged.

Every product should be stirred before use to prevent segregation.

3. Protection: If SMART-550 is cured well(at least 24hours after installation), cover with such a protection as PE film sheet, PE foam mat or mortar to protect the waterproofing layer. Don’t put any heavy stuff over the waterproofing layer.

Note:

Note 1: Before protecting the waterproofing layer, check the degree of cure of coating because humid weather can delay the cure of coating. If it is still wet, let the coating dried for 12 hours more in order for moisture of coating to evaporate.

Note 2: If the delaminated or bad adhered parts appear, cut out and recoat with SMART-550 or SMART SEALANT.
